Zimulti (a name trademarked by Sanofi-Aventis for its blockbuster drug rimonabant, marketed in Europe as Acomplia) is a selective CB1 endocannabinoid receptor antagonist. This means that it blocks the body's natural cellular response to certain events, including the intake of food. Zimulti's primary benefit is to reduce appetite, and thus help those who use the drug lose weight. There is also hope that Zimulti will help the health of patients in other ways.
